Salted Marinated Tofu

Missing

Excellent for a slightly salty taste in stir-fries, salads, stews, sliced for burgers, etc..

Inspired by a recipe from the blog Cuisine La Bine, which in its recipe uses tofu to replace the cheese curds in poutine. What a great idea! I like to roast to seal the taste.

Ingredients

- 1 block (454 g) firm tofu (preferably, the brand La Soyarie), cut into small dice
- Juice of a lemon (it's worth it to use fresh lemon)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Butter or vegetable oil

Preparation:

1. Marinate tofu in lemon juice and salt for about 30 minutes. Stir several times during the marinating time so that tofu is well marinated.

2. Drain (depending on the recipe and the seasoning, you can decide whether or not to rinse before use).

3. Saute in butter or vegetable oil until it turns golden brown (this step is optional).
